Who we are

TengaPesa is a money-tracking product of Charlize Digital Marketing, based in Nairobi, Kenya. We are the data controller for the information you share on tengapesa.co.ke. Questions or requests: hello@tengapesa.co.ke.

What we collect

  • What you type into our forms or live chat: name, phone number, email, business type, town, organisation details and any message.
  • Payment confirmations for the Founding 50 (name, phone, amount, reference). Payments are processed by Paystack; we never see or store your M-Pesa PIN or card details.
  • Basic, privacy-friendly visit statistics (pages viewed, device type, country). We do not use advertising cookies on this site.

Why we use it

  • To reserve your founder spot, confirm payment and send your tracker, journal and workshop details.
  • To tell you when the TengaPesa app launches, if you joined the waitlist.
  • To send the free budget sheet and occasional money tips. Every email has an unsubscribe option.
  • To reply to partnership enquiries.

We rely on your consent, which you give by submitting a form, and on the contract when you buy. We never sell your data.

Who we share it with

Only the services we need to run TengaPesa: our form processor (Web3Forms), our live chat provider (Tawk.to), our payment processor (Paystack), our email and WhatsApp tools, and Google Workspace for your tracker. Some of these store data outside Kenya, with safeguards required under the Data Protection Act, 2019.

How long we keep it

Lead details are kept for up to 24 months after our last contact with you. Payment records are kept for as long as Kenyan tax law requires.

Your rights

Under Kenya's Data Protection Act, 2019, you can ask to see, correct or delete your data, object to marketing, or withdraw consent at any time. Email hello@tengapesa.co.ke and we'll respond within 14 days. If you're not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (ODPC).

Your tracker

The TengaPesa tracker is a copy that lives in your own Google account. We cannot see the figures you enter unless you choose to share the file with us.
